WHAT'S NEW?
Inspired by Derek Sivers, here's what I have been up to:
2024 - Visited ten states and Canada. Read 54 books, the fewest I've read since 2008 when I started recording what I read. Played 125 board games. Attended four concerts, one hockey game and numerous baseball games. Hiked or rucked a half dozen or so organized events and many more miles on my own. Saw three movies in the theatre. Attended the funerals of my uncle and father-in-law. Experienced highs and lows.
December - Celebrated the holidays with friends and family.
November - Attended annual Canadian Baseball History Conference in St. Mary's, Ontario. Working with a nutritionist.
October - Saw Joshua Bell perform at the Ware Center in Lancaster. Spent time in St. Thomas and London, Ontario. Saw Western University orchestra perform and watched a junior hockey game. Taking saxophone lessons.
August/September - Had three friends from out of town over for a long Labor Day guys weekend. Visited the John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge in Philly, Gettysburg, and Harrisburg. Saw the York Revolution and Harrisburg Senators play. Later in the month watched the Revs beat Lancaster in the playoffs and then saw them clinch the Atlantic League Championship in York.
July - Visited Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, and Nebraska (have now been to 32 states). Went to the Iowa Quilt Museum, the International Quilt Museum, and the Negro Leagues Museum. Caught Iowa Cubs and Lincoln Salt Dogs baseball games (have seen games at 52 professional baseball stadiums).
